New vid, reviews and radio

We recently released a new video of The Last Ploughshare, a song from the album which looks at our (mis)treatment of the natural world. Take a look.

----------

And we've been delighted with the feedback and coverage of the new album so far. Some highlights are -

A live session on Radio 3's In Tune. Working Chap, from the new album, was played on the Radio 2 Folk Show. Songlines gave Many a Thousand a 5 star review and included a track on the cover mount CD. They said 'Beautiful weighted playing...This duo treats contemporary subject matter in folksong as well as anyone this reviewer has heard.' We had an interview in the most recent FRoots and they gave us a 5 star review, saying 'Jimmy Aldridge and Sid Goldsmith are unequivocally troubadours of our times...Their singing is sublime and their musicianship is both unpredictable and entirely apt...Dig the new breed.' The Guardian included us in their Folk Picks of the Month and said Many a Thousand is 'a lovely, rousing collection of politically charged traditional ballads and originals.' And the one we're most excited about - the Romsey Advertiser trailed our gig in Winchester and said we play 'some of the best folk music since Dylan.' We like the Romsey advertiser...

That's all for now, J&S
